Leaving Catterick this morning!
It started snowing about 6am and was snowing solidly until about 3pm - I got out while I could, just in case the roads became impassable - this was on the way to the A1 and hadnt been gritted today but it wasnt cold enough to freeze as it came down so it was just rather slushy. On the west of the Pennines though there was very little other than laying snow.Sunday, February 21, 2010
Rievaulx Abbey
Who said the sun never shines in England? It was the most glorious sunny day albeit rather chilly. Those monks must really have appreciated the Mediaeval Warm period!Beautiful day for history!
