Frosty the showgirl!

I thought I had posted this yesterday - oops! Went for a short walk (4.5 miles) but when I got back, my back was covered with ice! It was a fabulous day or walking though - sadly a little less spectacular than the hoare frost the day before when I didn't get chance to photograph it. Thanks to Fran for the fabulous hat which is doing a Stirling job of keeping my ears toasty warm! (If it can withstand Ballarat cold, it can withstand anything!)

The light changes all the time

Wandlebury is just magical with the changing seasons. The long shadows in the crisp morning were fabulous

Lots more knitting

This is the mystery shawl I finished a little while ago. It was very handy when we went out for dinner at the Hilton as there was a wee draft through the windows!

On my walk today!

Autumn is here with a vengeance but it was a fabulous day for a walk today and the colours were superb. Met some sheep where there usually aren't sheep as well!

Down in Devon

We have had a fabulous couple of days down in Devon and yesterday we visited Bude and Clovelly. I am still amazed that I managed to walk up the hill at Clovelly without too much hassle!

Wandlebury in the morning

Yesterday I went for an early morning walk at Wandlebury and the sunlight through the trees was magical. But for the first time this autumn I kept my jacket AND gloves on while walking!

Visiting the Doc!

Yesterday Sue and I went to Port Isaac aka Port Wenn - lovely little Cornish village with steep narrow streets - this is the Doc's house and the harbour

Fishbourne palace

Most amazing Roman mosaics which had been sitting under a field for 2000 years!

Cherry ice cream sold here! (Lincoln)

Our car can do 711 miles on a tank of petrol apparently!

It says 701 miles but it got up to 711 before the figure came down again. E were very surprised!

Cambridge Olympic cauldron waiting for the flame

The cauldron is the big silver thing on the stage - the flame was a couple of hours away but there were plenty of people on Parker's Piece waiting for it all to kick off.  Bit muddy under foot though!
